ORANGE Digital Systems Releases New Version of EMPulse Series HRMS

Montreal, QC, August 8, 2006

ORANGE Digital Systems Inc. – Canada’s leading provider of HR/payroll software for complex labour management environments – announced today the release of EMPulse Series HRMS 6.0. 

The new version of ORANGE Digital’s flagship product line delivers enhanced performance and additional features over the previous incarnation of the EMPulse Series.   “While EMPulse Series 5.0 was a great performer, our focus in this release was to improve the overall experience of the end-user,” said Philip Ifrah, Director of Sales & Marketing.  “One way we achieved this was to optimize the code in areas that have an impact on the responsiveness of the system.  We’re very pleased with the results and we hope that our end-users will benefit from the noticeable difference in speed.”

In addition to the performance enhancements, Version 6.0 includes several new features and improvements to the interface.  The most significant functional changes to the EMPulse Series product line are in the attendance area.  ORANGE has added a new timesheet interface that allows users to manually enter or edit user-defined hours, accrual withdrawals, and expenses.  These quantities can also be imported with a single mouse click from an external source such as a third-party attendance system, point-of-sale software, or spreadsheet.  With EMPulse 6, end-users can also schedule work and planned absences through an intuitive calendar-based interface.  In addition, several new reports have been added to the system in support of the new attendance features.

On the HR side, EMPulse 6 offers enhanced skill tracking and team composition features that can be extremely useful for organizations that need to identify the right talent or group of individuals to complete a particular job.  End-users also now have the option of giving their employees self-serve access to various aspects of their employee profile.
